About:

The present study aims to delineate the foundation for a novel virtual reality application: multimodal, including different scenarios for a broad spectrum of psychotherapeutic interventions through VR; multiplatform, non-immersive for therapists (Windows laptop) and immersive for clients (phone-based VR); and multiplayer, bringing both therapist and client inside the virtual world and allowing for VR interventions at a distance.

This application focuses on moving traditional sessions into a virtual office from which the therapist can then implement different controlled environments for therapeutic purposes. Avatars are used to further enhance both online and virtual aspects of this modality of therapy.
